**** The following has been brought to my attention by a knowledgeable customer.

I saw this card that you have posted, and thought I’d give you a little info. The photo was shot from the top of Oneonta Tunnel looking west down at the bridge crossing Oneonta Cr. The views of the tunnel you see quite a bit, but this one you don’t see as much. Actually I think this is the only view of the bridge from this angle to the best of my knowledge. The photographers Arthur B. Cross and Edward Dimmitt shot a ton of photos (postcards, framed tinted photos, panoramas etc etc of the highway) The highway is still dirt in this photo making it 1913/1914, but since the bridge is there that makes the year 1914. In September of 1914 the bridges, viaducts, and Oneonta tunnel were started. There’s a million other things about this one spot, but that’s some general info.
