Illinois - Postal Card / Reply Card / Postal History postcard
Mailed 1898 with a clear Flag cancel (type 14?) with the little halyard on the top with 13 stars along with a Q in the wavy lines
card itself is from the North Western Wire Mattress Co - which had their General Offices at 224-228 Wabash Avenue in Chicago. Their Trade Mark image is in red ink whereas the wording of the back of the card is in blue ink. In the center of the trademark their is an owl with a shield that has: 1/3 your life is spent in bed. The points of the 10 point star has the following words: Iron beds, folding beds, cribs, cradles, brass beds, wire mattresses, child's beds, wire cots, mantel beds and spring beds.
card was addressed to Mr Archie McCoy of Hastings, MI
