- back: the new proposed courthouse, to be directed at Worth, Lafayette and Centre Streets will occupy four city blocks. The plans and drawings have been made by Guy Lowell architect. It will occupy 120,000 ft.² of ground in a circular building, diameter 500 feet with a façade 200 feet high, for porticos of massive pillars around it about 2/3 of the way. Cost of building $10 million, cost of sight $6 million
