Note worthy part of the note states: This is a dandy place alright. This is quaint? or gay place, but not as gay as it was a week ago. The boarding house burnt about that time. It had about 100 boarders at the time it burnt.
View shows the Mill, water cascading down the river as well as a sluice of sorts with water spewing that was diverted up near the bridge / there is even a man in the doorway of the mill
