• back:  Built by an early Governor of MS, Alexander McNutt, about 1828, this is one of the oldest houses in Vicksburg.  It is a white frame structure, 2 stories high, with straight lines and steep roof of the Colonial New England type.  Despite its great age, this charming old ante-bellum home is still in a remarkable stage of preservation.
