  • K-A-M-E-R-A-D! / The 81st Division WILDCATS / GOING OVER THE TOP / Meuse - Argonne Drive / November 7-11 1918, (North of Verdun)
  • Shows a comic depiction of a crazy, wild cat on top of a man's head, with a banner for GERMANY across his body - as he is trying to pull the cat off his head by the tail.

  • back:  The 81st Division better known as the WILDCATS, is a National Army Division composed of Troops from North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and other States.  Arrived in France Aug 16, 1918.  Activities:  East of St Die and Raon-l'Ettape sector, Vosges Mts Sept 18 to Oct 19 (brigaded with 20th French Division); Sommediene sector between Haudiemen works and Benzee en Woevre Nov 7-11, Meuse-Argonne drive, north of Verdun. /   March 20th 1919 Division reviewed by General Pershing and the King and Queen of the Belgians.  April 9, 1919 Colors decorated for action by General Pershing.  / Insignia:  Wildcat of varying color.  Selected in the belief that the division could emulate it in its fighting qualities, which it did.
  • In the divider line is Corporal Daniel Silverman, 321st Infantry
