mailed from Dexter, ME to Pittsfield, ME - 1886 per typed note on the back.  On US Postal Card - UX8 PC4, I believe - with Jefferson's image.  NOTHING BUT THE ADDRESS TO BE ON THIS SIDE in brown ink.

Typed in a purple ink is CROSBY & CROSBY Attorneys & Counsellors Dexter, Maine / Sept 28th 1886 / Mr Mosher Dept Shff, Dr Sir: - Yours at hand with check in closed in settlement of writ Bennett vs Merrick.  Thanks --  Very Truly -- Crosby & Crosby.  Has a cancel from Pittsfield on the back as well
