back:  Owned by the city of NO, this is the only municipally owned station in the country.  The project was financed by a 15 million dollar bond issue to replace 5 existing stations.  It is the only cmpletely air conditioned station in the US.

Note states:  ONE OF THE FEW DEPOTS WITH SELF SERVICE LUGGAGE CARTS.  I WONDERED AT THE EFFECTS OF INTEGRATION UNTIL - HOURS LATER - I REALIZED THAT I WAS SITTING IN THE WRONG WAITING AREA AND WAS USING THE WRONG WASHROOM.  (IT DOESN'T SAY EXCEPT FOR SEX DIFFERENCES).  CANAL STREET HAS THRONGS OF COMMUNITY BARAIN DAY HUNTERS.  THE FRENCH QUARTER OF WHAT I SAW IS ALL I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED.  ONE HARDLY HAS TO GO TO PARIS (OR FAIR SAN FRISCO) IF HE GETS A CHANCE TO CHANGE TRAINS IN NEW ORLEANS.  BRENNANS FOR LUNCH IS ALL THAT MY CHANCER NOTES STATE.  HAD TO FOREGO ART MUSEUM, UNIVERSITY AND GRAY? ___ TOWN THIS TIME, BUT HAVE SNAPSHOTS AND HOVERED AROUND JUNK SHOPS, AS USUAL TOWN ROUTINE.  WHY DIDN' TMR HOGAN TELL ME THAT I REALLY WANTED TO ATTEND TULANE?  TRAVELING, IF WEARING, NONE THE LESS AFFORDS OPPORTUNITY FOR _______ AND SOMETIMES EVEN RECOGNITIONS - ALMOST.  CAREER PROBLEM STILL "BUGS" ME.  I MAY GET INSIGHT DURING THE NEXT 36 HRS TO PM.  UGH!  WONDER HOW WELL YOU KNOW & WHAT YOU THIN OF NEW ORLEANS.  BEST WISHES.  MKT?
